Leadership Lesson - When Life Gives You Lemons...

Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room is an absolutely fascinating documentary about corrupt leadership. A lot of hard working folks lost their livelihood because of a leadership regime that promoted and rewarded unethical behavior out of greed.

As terrible as the Enron scandal was it helped drive the right conversations to implement better controls and accountability with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (aka SOX). We can't always control how things go down but we do control what we decide to learn from situations. As cheesy as the saying is... When life gives you lemons. Make lemonade.

Craft Lesson

This section is for anyone who wants to nerd out on some craft supplies.

This is my favorite set of pages from the entire sketchbook. I had so much fun sketching it. The Enron logo and tentacles were sketched using my Micron fineliners and Copic markers. The quote was stamped with Milos' ABCs and Violet's ABCs.

The background pieces were cut with Stitched Rectangle Stackables, a Stitched Square Stackable, and the Stitched Wave Border dies from Lawn Fawn. For the waves I used paper from the Spiffy Speckles collection. The ship is from the Lovable Legends stamp set.
